Tillandsia pruinosa is a beautiful species of air plant native to Florida, Central America, and South America. It has rough white trichomes all over the plant, giving it a fuzzy velvety appearance while proctecting it from the sun and facilitating the moisture absorbing process. Tillandsia pruinosa displays purple tubular flowers on a short pink stalk. These plants prefer warm to hot temperatures, humidity, and air circulation. Frequent misting several times a week is necessary and it would prefer to be grown in bright indirect light.
