Tillandsias argentea is a very unique air plant native to Cuba & Jamaica. It sports silvery, thin leaves which sprout from a round base. Its bloom is held high above the foliage with red bracts and purple flowers. Prefers bright light and can tolerate full sun (avoid summer afternoons). This plant does not like it below 50° Fahrenheit and would like to be brought indoors during the winter months. Water frequently in the Summer and moderately during winter. Watch for the thin ends of leaves, they dry quickly if the plant is not watered enough or if it is too dry indoors in winter. Good and constant aeration is required.
